Field Rules

1) Flying is restricted to persons with proof of liability insurance equal or greater than AMA.
2) Muffler is required on "10" size and up two cycle engines
. It may be any type of muffler. If a muffler becomes unserviceable, the flyer may finish the day without it.
3) You must place your name on the frequency control board corresponding to the channel number of your transmitter prior to turning it on. If others are on the same channel, you must communicate with them and make an agreement on who can have their transmitter turned on at any given time. Spread spectrum radio users must place their name on the frequency control board in the assigned place indicating they are flying a spread spectrum radio.
4) Maximum of 30 minutes at a time on shared channels.
5) When engines/motors are started and or run anywhere, the person starting and or in control of the engine/motor must ensure that bystanders are not in front of or in the propeller arc within a reasonable distance.
6) All area from the flight line of each runway to and including the pits is a no-fly zone and should be avoided. Exception, all soaring or non-runway oriented (gliders) radio controlled flights may be flown behind flight line at safe altitude.
7) Gliders may be hand launched from the red markers on the taxi way away from the pits if no one is on the intersecting runway.
8) If a second flyer wishes to fly, the flyer must bring a spotter out to the flight line. This spotter will serve the 1st and 2nd flyer. Each additional flyer must bring a spotter with them to the flight line.
9) Before taxing onto the runway, ask for clearance from all pilots on the flight line.
10) All takeoff and landing attempts, touch and go's and low fly-by's must be called by the pilot or spotter.
11) The first pilot on the flight line will determine the active runway and the direction of flight. If any pilot on the flight line would like to reverse the direction for a takeoff or landing, a gentlemen's agreement must be made between the pilots.
12) It is possible for both runways to be active if all pilots on the flight line are aware of such and that the pilots on the East West runway are stationed West of the taxi way and the pilots on the North South runway are stationed South of the taxi way. In addition, a spotter is required on each runway.
13) Do not taxi into pit area. Stop your plane at red markers.
14) There shall be no flying during runway mowing operation.
15) If an organized flying competition (Fun Fly, AT-6 Racing, etc.) is taking place, no open flying shall be permitted during the competition.
16) Compliance to these rules is the responsibility of each participant.
